Shelli; The only thing I remember is "San Jose Camera", that store was our "arch" competitor of ours. I guess they are still located on First Street in San Jose. They were not far from our Webbs Store. I guess these guys are a new generation of people, as it has been twenty four years since I retired from Webbs on Lincoln Ave. in San Jose. Grandpa

Mom, we were going to present him with a tshirt I found that listed color names in fonts of different colors and then across the bottom it asked you to name the color you saw and not the word written. Unfortunately, I see he's already discovered that mental excercise.

Steven, to answer your question: because the two triangular pieces have different slopes, too small to pick up easily by eye. The apparent slope of the triangle made by all 4 pieces put together is concave, not straight. The area is actually smaller than it appears. In the bottom picture the 2 triangles make a convex curve and thus the area of the 4 pieces put together is increased.

Re the logic problem: The small triangle slopes down 2 blocks over the course of 5. The big slopes down 3 blocks over the course of 8. There is a minute difference (16/40 vs. 15/40)in the degree of slope in the two triangles which causes the difference in area when the blocks are rearranged.

Sandi--You get only one woofer at a time--the guy that delivered mine was wearing long pants--he was tall--very nice looking and black and all he wanted from me was my signature-so I didn't ask if he would install anything--however, he did install the woofer in through my kitchen door--I was all thrilled to have it!

"Happy Easter Egg" That is what my father would have said to all today. I had a great Easter there were fifteen people at my mother's house and my Uncle Joe and Aunt Blossom were there. Aunt Blossom made the desert, it was whipping cream with massive fruit and pudding and cake, and of course she assured all of us that she removed all the calories before bringing it to my mothers house... :) Isn't she great?!!! Actually, my Mom was an elder in the Mormon Church. That is Gus, I can not believe you all recognize him. Mom wanted to marry us off cause she had too many kids to raise and Gus, even at a young age had this twin fantasy. The dresses Mom made for our big day. Without a pattern I might add!
